DBS and my 15 years of experience with them.
I am a contractor (hence the spelling) and use many hardware store. I have found everyone at DBS, from the General Manager, who I know on a first name basis, to the stock clerks, to be very, very helpful. Most of the employees know their area, electrical, plumbing, paint, doors and windows, kitchens, very well and have given me nothing but good advice. They also know when to say "I don't...

Good in a pinch
Some knowledgeable staff, but I have over the years received more wrong information from Discount builders than any of the large groups. They are smaller with a more limited inventory than the big box stores. Prices are high. Service is anything from terrific to cursory, and again, answers are not always correct. The old one on Bayshore was much more extensive.

Cheaper than other stores while providing a far better service.
Best place to do kitchen remodeling. The store has knowledgeable employees and it provides excellent service. The show room has many different styles of cabinetry and many ideas available on display. My personal project cost me less than some of the other places such as home depot. I am fully satisfied and give it an A.

We installed new cabinets ourselves in our kitchen and were now looking for kitchen knobs. We went to Bauerware Hardware & Cabinets and found some real nice simple knobs. I was impressed that they had enough in stock which meant we wouldn't have to wait for a back order. The sales staff were very helpful.
